Using contemporary technology and the original set-up of reel-to-reel tape-recorders, guitarist Kobe Van Cauwenberghe presents No [More] Pussyfooting, a unique live arrangement of music by Brian Eno and Robert Fripp. No [More] Pussyfooting is a unique, live arrangement of the classic studio albums (No Pussyfooting) and Evening Star by Brian Eno and Robert Fripp. Integrating contemporary technology and the original ‘frippertronics’ set-up of two reel-to-reel tape-recorders, Kobe Van Cauwenberghe restores these gems of experimental repertoire to the stage, exploring the rich sonic textures of the electric guitar in combination with tape-loops.

Guitarist Kobe Van Cauwenberghe is a committed performer of the music of today. After studies in Ghent, he went to New York City where he studied at the Manhattan School of Music.Since then Kobe has played concerts all over the world as a member of the electric guitar quartet Zwerm and the Nadar ensemble, in addition to solo and duo concerts as well as numerous freelance activities with several international groups.

The set consists of the pieces The Heavenly Music Corporation (1972), which is the first piece Eno and Fripp recorded together using two reel-to-reel tape recorders as a primitive looping system. Inspired by the earlier experiments of Terry Riley and Pauline Oliveros, this method later on came to be known as “frippertronics”. The second piece, An Index Of Metals (1975), has an overall more refined and lessharsh sound than (No Pussyfooting), leaning further towards Eno’s later ambient albums.
